This past weekend a large snowstorm was slated to move into the Denver metro area, while the storm did leave snow around the city on Saturday it was far less than the amount forecasted. Part of this was the warm temperatures during the storm and around the city the days leading up to the storm. During this storm I headed to locations on the west side of Denver including Sloans Lake as in the image for today. By early afternoon a lot of the snow had ended, but the wind was just picking up leading to some miserable conditions near the lake. While walking along the lake I noticed the snow blowing back on the freshly plowed trail and placed my camera low to the ground in order to capture this with some of the trees at the park.
