The Getaway Monday image for this week takes us along Lake McDonald at Glacier National Park. It was about seven years ago when I was there in the winter photographing at the park. After a day of snowshoeing up the road I was heading back and stopped at the west end of Lake McDonald just after sunset. As the night settled in I captured the quiet winter evening in the park which is quite different then being there in the summer.
A picture tells a story. With so many ways to tell a story, a picture not only communicates the vision I see but allows viewers to interpret the story in their own way.
The enjoyment of communicating stories through images has been with me since I was young, and it has grown over the years. Working as a software implementation consultant and now photographer my business and artistic knowledge allows me to look at projects from a a center point. This balance lets me refine my photographic vision and tell the necessary story which will make your next project exciting and successful.
