On Day 5 of Thirty Days 2016 I headed to the northwest portion of the Denver metro area. Candelas Parkway is the main road in a new community which is just south of Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge. The community is still being built and has streets which are indicated but don’t yet from the parkway as is the case in the age for today. Behind me you can see the lights of Denver all around but towards the mountains it is very different which just the sound of Highway 93 in the distance. As the Jefferson Parkway is planned to connect through this area, I would think that will help with the growth in this area but until then it is interesting to take a drive to see what is here. Candelas Parkway can be accessed by either Indiana or Highway 72.
