About a month ago I ventured to a salvage yard to photograph. Using a macro lens, I started to capture the details of some of the pieces which were around showing the texture, color and shape.
The various colors on this radiator is what caught my eye and was the first object in the salvage yard I photographed. Lining up the colors so they would fill the frame in a compelling way sometimes means having your tripod in a tight space but fortunately on this image it wasn’t too much of an issue. For me the bands of colors tells the story of this piece with the paint and rust.
