On the first morning of 2021 I headed out to a familiar location to capture the first sunrise of 2021. It had been a few years since I did this on the first day of the year, and on this occasion I went with a little different perspective in order to capture one of the newer buildings in Denver. The 35-story Confluence joined the Denver skyline just a few years ago. As it is separated from the downtown core of buildings it is not always included in skyline images of Denver.
