As I headed back across the Bay from San Francisco to Alameda after a day in the city, the sun was starting to set on a November day. As the ferry headed under the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge, I was able to quickly capture the light hitting the western section of the bridge. The ferry to Bay Farm Island quickly made its way under the bridge but not before I was to capture the scene from the boat. For this image I felt just showing the limited section of the bridge helped tell the story with the negative space allowing the viewer to wonder where the bridge is leading and complete the story.
