On a quiet morning in Svalbard we came across a bearded seal (Erignathus barbatus) as the ice in an inlet of Spitsbergen. For almost an hour we admired this animal from a distance as it most certainly checked out us as well. The calm conditions allowed us to float into a position which gave a reflection of the bearded seal.
