As I walked towards the Royal Palace in Oslo I noticed the steps leading up to the area in front of the palace. As I climbed the stairs I happened to notice the palace starting to reveal itself from the top of the steps. It was mid-morning and the area was still quite empty, with this I took advantage of the empty steps and photographed those with the top of the palace showing. With a stormy looking sky it helped add to the scene especially with the diffused morning light still highlighting the palace and providing the contract between the darker step and sky.
